Far away love

The giddyness I feel upon the hearing of your voice.
The honor that I feel in the valor of your choice.

It takes a man quiet strong to fight and save the day
...
, but it takes a woman stronger to stay true while he's away.

Ducking bullets, knives, and missles is the plan
to sail far away and fight the Tailiban.

I am proud of my lover that much I can say
I just wish that his fight wasn't so far away.

I am proud of my sailor taking the battle to the seas
doing what he can to bring terror to it's knees.

Sometimes I'm filled with lonelyness a deep and cold dispair
it's hard to love a ghost, and a man thats never there.

Written for my friend and " sister" Anna to cheer her up when her fiance went out to sea.
