________________________
I stand watch in the night
and I blow your fears away.
I will defend my beliefs
until my dying day.
I vowed to help the weak
and offer them my hand.
When asked what I stand for
I say those who can not stand.
I sit and shine my boots
with my back against the wall
At night I stay awake
in anticipation of a call.
I am one of many
for I do not stand alone.
We defend against the doubters
both the seen and unknown.
We patrol the waters
and sail mother Earth.
I will charge into guy fir without batting an eye
then I shall gladly die.
We stand in defense
so you don't have to.
We perpetuate the memories of those
who came before.
We stare death and the eye and
knock on heavens door.
The answer that you seek simply rhymes with my old oak tree.
I bet you can not guess just who we might be.
and I blow your fears away.

" the passing of fall"
Oranges, yellows, greens and reds fill the clouded sky
there is a chill about the air, as puffy figures float on by.
With a sense of urgency the animals collect thier things,
now they must prepare themselves , for the sleep that winter brings.
Mother nature covers up, that which in summer she did bare
thier furs she does thicken up form the fox down to the hare.
The air gets colder still once the sun goes down
an urgency boils up and spreads all around.
Her sons and duaghters watch as each day grows shorter yet
anxiety fills the air with thoughts of things they did not get.
Finally the movement stops and not a sound is heard
not a growl, bark, or a chirp and seen not is a bird.
Gone now are the animals , nary a one is seen at niether day nor night
passed are all the bright colors, now blanked in white.
The stiff chill felt in the air turns to winters bite.

I am the one beneath your bed
I am a thing that is unknown.
I am the walking dead
I am your thoughts when your alone.
I am a failing sensation
I am a jolt inside your brain.
I am "the great motivator"
an anticipation of great pain.
All have me yes it's true
oh, what I can put you through.
I make your heart beat quicken
I make your breathes draw deep.
I am the one that makes you hide
or why you can't fall asleep.
The anticipation of somehting near
an imaginary figure that whispers in your ear.
I am a blurr of your perception.
Irrationality.
The thin defining line of all reality.
I come and visit all, be they girl or guy,
but the deep burning question is.
WHO THE HELL AM I?
I am a thing that is unknown.
I am the walking dead
I am your thoughts when your alone.

Forever Deep
Forever deep, Forever true
Some scary shit,
but we'll pull through.
Some secret shit
beneath the sea
We'll handle it,
my crew and me.
Forever deep, Forever true
We'll past this test
We'll roll on through.
We'll bring 'em down
into the deep.
We'll tuck them in
Eternal sleep.
To each enemy
There's ever been
You can not shoot
What can't be seen.
So there we hide
Beneath the sea
Patrolling depths my crew and me.
Navy blue forever more
Until we knock on heavens door.
Some scary shit,
but we'll pull through.
Some secret shit
beneath the sea
We'll handle it,
my crew and me.

He with no pain
He wasn't the smartest of the smart or the fastes of the fast.
Yet today we have gathered for the mourning of his pass.
He was an average man with an average life.
He met an average end with an average knife.
He had lived with his pain for more than just a while.
Now the anguish upon his face was morphed into a smile.
The rose upon his cheeks fluttered in the breeze.
Ironically his last breathe had been his first with ease.
He dressed up in his best, with a smile on his face.
In living that smile would have never taken place.
The lines upon his wrist tell the true tale of the day.
The day the avreage man had chosen to take the pain away.
He dressed up in his best and lay down on his bed.
With a few quick movements, there he lay and bled.
The tingle in his toes meant that he had done his job.
The pounding in his chest eased into a throb.
As the blue spread across his face and he took his final breathe.
He smiled while weezing, finding peace in death.
Yet today we have gathered for the mourning of his pass.
He was an average man with an average life.
He met an average end with an average knife.
He had lived with his pain for more than just a while.

The hooded man
As the shadow crossed the room, he lurked inside the dark.
In silence he moved for nearby he felt a spark.
Silence evermore as his work was yet to start.
Off in the distance he felt the beatign of a heart.
His gown flowed loosely down unto the floor.
It muffled his every movement as he crept up to the door.
It slide open, with no protest or creek.
Through it quickly slipped a dark and stealthy streak.
The black depths of his garments concelled his body and face.
Into the air he reached, his hand clawing into space.
He snatched his hand through the air with quickness and with lythe.
And as the man withdrew his hand in it was his scythe.
Alas his eyes locked upon the thing he came here for.
He quickly pounced upon the thing and pinned it to the floor.
Far back within the hood a smile might be seen.
And in the sockets of his eyes a deep and evil gleen.
Downward plunged the sycthe upon it's merry way.
It burrowed deep into the thing and found a place to stay.
The man then withdrew his scythe and wiped the shimears off his blade.
Silently he then crept back into the shade.
In silence he moved for nearby he felt a spark.
Silence evermore as his work was yet to start.
Off in the distance he felt the beatign of a heart.
His gown flowed loosely down unto the floor.
It muffled his every movement as he crept up to the door.

Beyond the sea ( I was inspired to write this by the Bobby Darin song Beyond the sea)
I wait here with horrid thoughts inside my head
for my sailor could be injured, or worst he could be dead.
Each day I spend waiting until I can take no more
for my sailor could be injured, or worst he could be dead.
Each day I spend waiting until I can take no more
I stand there staring where the sea meeets the shore.
With each passign of the ships my heart it does burn
As i sit here waiting for your return.
Evermore I stand waiting down by the sea
For ever shall I wait for you to return to me.
One day upon the horizon I see a Navy ship
Fromit climbs my sailor home form his trip.
As he walks down the gang plank my heart begans to soar
Back from defending freedom, in my arms once more.
The life I built for us. (not my best work , but I feel I capture the emotio I was feleign at the time)
They say the first love is the best love it's true.
To bad the only love was me loving you
and nothing hurts more than your knife in my back.
Pain like a heart attack.
I never yelled I never cussed
'Till you let him get between us.
Now the sun has dawned on the day
that I will be shipping away.
Your folks did not approve , but I don't care
I just loved the feel of your hair.
You brought my world to an end, hope he was worht it
Your "best friend".
As I sat thinking with knife in my hand
sharpened up to kill this man.
The anger, hurt, and the pain
Return when I hear his name.
If you couldn't handle me shipping otu to sea
You could have just let me be.
So I yelled ,swore and cussed
Now I live the life I built for us.
To bad the only love was me loving you
and nothing hurts more than your knife in my back.
Pain like a heart attack.
I never yelled I never cussed
'Till you let him get between us.
Now the sun has dawned on the day
